some of your comments are wrong or unnecessary:

1. Juk is not the default audio player for kubuntu - Amarok is. Amarok is amazing.
2. The KDE 4 Konsole works beautifully. I’ve been using it for months.
3. why the side note about brasero? sounds like your just trying to put in a plug for your favorite application.. and frankly, brasero has no ambition to compete with k3b. It is developed with a completely different style in mind. k3b is the best tool out there.. also amazing.

PyChess can run with all CECP and UCI engines, as long as you’ve installed them.
If you fell the engines move to fast, you should try setting a higher difficulty.
I agree about the look of the pieces.

I think wine+arena gui+[some UCI engine, like prodeo] is best option for serious chess in Linux world.

I hope when Hardy will be released the freezing issue will not be there, and I will be able to suspend/hibernate it with my ATI drivers out of the box. I had been using Ubuntu for quite a long time, but last week I thought to try out Kubuntu so I switched from Gnome version to KDE, you are right its a bit slow but as I needed a change I am using Kubuntu 7.10 for last 4-5 days.

Lets hope Hardy will have these issues fixed.

Приветствую всех!
У меня такой вопрос,кто что интересное подскажет буду признателен.
Мы с друзьями собираемся поехать в круиз по просторам России и ближнего зарубежья месяца на два на своих машинах,но не как не можем согласовать маршрут,если у кого уже был опыт такого путешествия,может,что посоветуете.Девчонок с собой не берем,думаем,что во все городах России с этим не будет проблем,если у кого будут рекомендации и в вопросе отдыха с девушками тоже буду признателен.
